FAI lkid: an artist website shaped by his musical identity

The client

FAI lkid is a music artist from Toulouse, France. His work spans songs, music videos and social media. The website brings those different channels together in a space with its own identity.

The challenge

• Build a recognizable identity. The website needed to convey the artist's energy and personality rather than look like a generic music portfolio.
• Spotlight the work. With a focused catalog, each song and music video deserved a prominent presentation.
• Connect the platforms. Fans needed an easy way to reach YouTube, Spotify, Instagram and TikTok.
• Make watching effortless. Videos needed to play on the page without opening a popup.

What we built

A distinctive art direction

Oversized typography, sharp contrast, a scrolling title strip and expressive graphic details create an editorial feel inspired by music posters. Navigation stays focused on creations, updates and social channels.

Music videos at the center

“ENCORE ENCORE” and “J’aime pas la vue” each have a dedicated feature. Clicking a thumbnail loads the YouTube player in place, without opening a separate window. Visitors can also follow a direct link to YouTube.

One place for every platform

Prominent links connect visitors to the artist's Spotify, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube profiles. An updates section also showcases selected social content without forcing visitors to leave the site immediately.

Designed for mobile

The layout and controls remain readable and usable on phones while preserving the site's distinctive visual identity.

Under the hood

• Astro: lightweight generated pages with minimal client-side JavaScript.
• Custom CSS: a visual identity designed specifically for the artist.
• On-demand YouTube embeds: video players load only after a click, avoiding the cost of loading them all upfront.
• Music and social platform links: a central hub for the artist's creations and updates.
